Protecting Patients. Demanding Accountability.

Patients Over Profits Now: Kentucky

Are you tired of watching billionaires make money while you and the people you love suffer?

Your story matters. Share it.

Has an insurance company denied your claim?

Have you gotten a bill that made no sense?

Has medical equipment failed you when you needed it most?

Most Kentucky Medicaid members choose from a handful of managed care companies for their coverage, and patients across the country are reporting the same problems with the companies that manage their benefits and equipment: denied coverage, billing problems and poor customer service. If this happened to you, you already know something is wrong. Too many companies care more about profit than about patients. Patients Over Profits Now wants to change that. When you share your story, it can help a reporter tell the truth. It can help a Kentucky lawmaker take action. It can help another patient feel less alone. Share your story and help make real change happen in Kentucky.

From One Story to a Movement

Patient stories are at the heart of this movement. Each story can be used in a news story, a meeting with a Kentucky lawmaker, a town hall or an online post. When one story is shared, it helps build support for the next one. Over time, these stories add up. Together, they reach elected officials, reporters and communities across Kentucky and the country.

A Movement for Healthcare Accountability in Kentucky

Patients Over Profits Now is a growing movement working in Kentucky and across the country. We take patient complaints that used to stand alone and turn them into organized action, including complaints about denied claims, confusing bills, delays in care and equipment problems tied to Kentucky's Medicaid managed care plans. We do this through patient stories, partnerships with other groups, online outreach and talks with elected officials. Our goal is to hold companies accountable and improve healthcare for Kentucky patients.
